You sanity is important to us...Please hold until the next available life becomes available...(cue Musak)

Well, I can hardly believe it has been two and half months since I blogged! I really need to do better. But I do have a good reason. Since I last wrote I...
  • Graduated! (Yea for me!)

  • Moved out of my apartment.

  • Put my life in storage.

  • Filled out 478,958,127,346 job applications. (okay so it only feels like that many, but you get the idea.)

  • Interviewed for 4 jobs and got rejected by several others. ( so it goes...)
Funny thing is that I spend all my time at the library trying to find a job in a library! Life can be so strange.

I am staying with my big brother Hairy for right now and I know I am stressing him out. My car is full of my things that didn't go into storage, but I am afraid to unpack it or I may never get it packed again! I found out on Sunday that the library in the town where my brother lives is looking for a librarian so of course I applied for that one. I told my brother that if I got the job I could live with him FOR-EV-ER! He laughed but a saw a glimmer of panic in his eyes!

Ah, the life of a vagabond! I long for a home of my own where I can settle down and raise okapi and gemsbok. It's funny. I have filled out so many applications (refer to # above) and while there were jobs that I thought I'd like and there were jobs that I figured I was qualified to do, it wasn't until today that I found one that really caught my interest. Of course, I sent off my resume right away and all but begged them to give me the job. It's in Kentucky though. Not that there's anything wrong with Kentucky, it's just that of all the places I thought of to go that didn't make my top 10 or the top 25 for that matter. It's practically in Ohio right near the state line, basically a suburb of Cincinnati. Anyway, I suppose it doesn't matter if it's the North Pole or the Swiss Alps until they offer me the job. (Please, please, please!)

I interviewed twice for a job in northern Utah and even came up to see the library system, at their invitation. I was so sure that they were going to offer me a job! They may still but I though that was going to be it. It would be a good opportunity and I would love being closer to my family who live nearby, but who knows. I'm not very good at playing the waiting game.
